How exactly to redeem an Empik e-code step by step
The e-card payment process requires a few clicks during online order finalisation.
- Build the chosen products in the basket on empik.com.
- Proceed to the checkout and expand the list of available payment methods.
- Find and tick the “Gift Card or eCard” option.
- Enter the serial number assigned to the code and the 4-digit PIN code.
- Click the “Recalculate” button so the system subtracts the e-card value from the bill.
- Confirm and pay for the order.
FAQ
How long do I have to spend the money from the e-card?
The card is valid for exactly 12 months from the moment of purchase. The time to use the funds is set in advance. After the full calendar year, the e-card expires irrevocably, and unused funds are lost without the option of return.
What if the basket value is higher than the card balance?
The store allows convenient top-up of the missing amount with another method. If your order costs more than the gifted code value, the system will automatically reduce the bill by the e-card value. You’ll pay the remaining rest simply with, for example, BLIK, a fast bank transfer or a payment card.
Can I use several different e-cards in a single transaction?
Yes, but you must first add them to your virtual Empik wallet. In the payment form in the basket only one code can be entered. If you have several cards, sign in to your Empik profile and go to the “Your Funds” tab. There you’ll sum all your codes into one large budget you’ll pay for larger purchases with.
Do I have to spend the full amount from the e-card at once?
No, unused money stays on the code for further shopping. The operating principle resembles a classic wallet. If you do smaller shopping, the system will only take the due amount. The rest of the złoty stays safely on your code until its expiry date.
Does the e-card also cover courier delivery costs?
Yes, with the code funds you can pay the full order amount. The gift card covers not just the value of the products themselves in the basket, but also the counted logistics costs (courier delivery or parcel locker), unless you have free delivery from Empik Premium.
Will I pay with the e-card for offers from other sellers (Empik Place)?
No, with the code you’ll only pay for goods sold directly by the Empik store. The terms block the option of paying with an e-card for items listed by external sellers (the marketplace model on empik.com). You also won’t buy digital products with it, such as game codes, e-books or Empik Go subscriptions.
How does the return of goods paid with the e-card work?
The money for the returned goods will come back to you as a new e-card. Returns of products paid with a gift code do not result in a transfer to your bank account. After the return is approved, store staff will generate a new digital voucher loaded with the returned amount for you.
